Watercolor Collage & Mixed Media
A self-taught artist who lives on San Juan Island full time who has been on a quest for artistic expression most of her life. Her first creative statements were in Textile and Mixed Media. After she moved to the Island she discovered her passion in Watercolor Collage.

"What I love about watercolor is that it combines spontaneity with luminous fluidity." Its exciting to get such a variety of results from a single medium. "The process and where it takes me is always an adventure, and I am never quite sure where it will end up, that's the fun of it."

My inspiration comes from the color and texture that I experience. My painting are made of layered watercolor rice papers, leafs, and seaweeds. I enjoy creating representational paintings as well as abstract pieces.

BJ seen Here with Kizzi Jones, Chapel Director, created two triptych commission pieces for Horizon House, a large retirement facility in downtown Seattle next to Swedish Hospital. The water theme triptychs were installed the 16th of December, 2009. One in the Chapel and the other in a large meeting room called the Social Room.
